I am staying in Thane in a very old Coop. Hsg. Scy. I belong to wing C of the society. It was decided to undertake re-plastering of the buildings in our wing and payment was to be made in advance. The amount is quite large. Recently I came to understand that some of the people who are in project committee itself have not paid the amount and have promised that they will pay it after the work is done. They have also decided that there will be no interest levied on those who will pay later.

As a person who has paid my share well in advance, I am feeling cheated and so are many others like me. Is there a legal recourse to this? Can we ask for the defaulters to pay up immediately or levy interest from the date of collection at this stage?
