In every house there is always some baggage that can be not discarded easily . Unwanted or not frequently used items should be stored in a room located between south and west Unwanted items gather dust and may lead to growth of fungus and germs leading to unhygienic atmosphere . Unwanted items in the house especially belongings of dead person should be disposed off . Cleaning drives are to be taken – up frequently .

                       Of all the rooms in s house , the bedroom is the mort lived in . It is  here that rest and recuperation take place . We spend nearly one third of the day in the  bedroom .The master bedroom should be in the south west corner of the house as laid down in vastushstra .   
                       The south west direction is the inert of the earth . It means stability and immobility . Science teacher us that heavier the substance , greater will be the force ( moment of inertia ) required to move it . Similarly greater the inertness , greater will be its stability . Because of south west location of the bedroom , the head of the family will have peace and stability , confidence  and ability to dominate . Such a bedroom leads to a healthy body and strong mind . 
                       Ideal Layout In a Bedroom 
·                           The beds should be in the south west corner of the room . The wardrobes and almirahs should be along the south or west walls so that valuables can be kept in them  and the doors  of these wardrobes  should open toward east or north .
·                           The bedrooms should have a minimum number of windows and  so arranged in such a way that rays from  the setting  sun do not enter .
·                           The bathroom cum wc should not be adjacent to the bedroom but these days this has become fashionable . So the toilet should be in the north west or west of the room .
·                           Air conditioner , TV , room coolers etc . should be placed in the  south east . The dressing table should be in the south or west and the mirror should be  kept covered  as far as possible .
·                           While sleeping the head should be toward south . This way the body lies in the magnetic field of the earth . The hemoglobin in the blood get settled in electro magnetic field and thus maintains blood pressure keeps under control . Digestion and excretion is proper and all this leads  to a happy and cheerful disposition .
·                           While sleeping the beam or loft must not be over any part of the body as it brings distress.
·                           The bedroom of the eldest son or the second most important person in the family , should be in the south or west of the  house .It can also  be in the north west direction . The bedroom of the guests  should always be in the north west .
·                           For children and the elderly persons a bedroom in the north west will suffice .
·                           Maximum storage should be kept in the south west room so as to ensure stability in life and the room  becomes stable and artistic .
·                           A study table or work table should be placed in the north east part of the room .
·                           There should not be TV in the bedroom .
·                           The main bedroom and the prayer room should not be together .
·                           One must not place photographs of dead person in the bedroom .
·                           If there are bedroom on the ground and first floor of a house . The upper one should be used by the head of the family and the lower one by the eldest son . In case of two brothers , the upper one should be given to the elder , and the lower one to the younger brother .
·                           The walls of the bedroom should be painted light red or pink and the curtains should also be of the same color .
·                           Whenever a photograph is to be put up in a bedroom , It should be ensured that it does not have three persons or objects . These should be in pairs and put together , like Radha and Krishna , Shiva and Parvati , loves birds or pigeons so as increase the love and harmony between husband and wife .
·                           Newly married couples should have a picture of Balkrishna as it will prove helpful .

         There are many types of negative energies we come across in vastu , they are jealousy waves , pitrudosha , evil – spirits and bad – effects due to black – magic . 

     
          In many house or premises of different utility it has been observed that in spite of all factors favorable and positive the particular task or work do not materialize . Some – one else with same merits able to the work done but the other person not . Similarly in many houses we observe people with undiagnosed health – complaints . These complaints are repeated more often and are helpless . These dwellings exhibit some things different type of pulse and vibrations , sometimes the inhabitants of such houses or premises find themselves more comfortable and happy outside the concern vastu , but the very moment they enter in such vastu , some exceptionally odd experiences they always come across . In many cases with exactly identical dwellings or vastu , both the inhabitants face totally different experience which is astonishing and creating a question – mark of suspicion . 

   
           The most astonishing aspect one can find in such vastu or dwellings is presence of abode of deity or spiritual power will always be in a direction other than North – East . In this case it has been confirmed in thousands individual with horoscope or astrological analysis proved with problems related to “Pitrudosha “ or their experience of undiagnosed health and acts of suspicion . 

    
            In such case the most important remedy is to restore abode if deity perfectly in North – East and by making use of spiritual Yantras ( mystic designs of spiritual values ) to which we can call as specific energy circuits .  Spiritual rituals , chanting of mantras ( spiritual rhymes ) also improve the situation in positive direction .

       Garbage , unwanted items , sweepings etc . should be kept in northwest . Kitchen in the southeast and dustbin in northwest may prove impracticable in day to day life and in such a case the dustbin can be kept in the northwest of the kitchen .

        The best place for a strong box is southwest . This direction symbolizes stability and it will keep wealth safely . North is the abode of kuber , the protector of the gods wealth and hence a safe in the north is also a good location . If a strong box is kept in southwest or north the door of the safe , when opened , should permit the contents to face northeast .

         There is an intimate relation between colour and vastu . Sunlight ( white light ) is made up of seven colours , that of a spectrum . All these seven colours are benefices to human life . 

                   
                            Vastu Pulse And Vibation  

    
          A pleasant atmosphere is created automatically when a vastu is built according to established principle .A placement atmosphere keeps a person happy and free from physical and mental ailments . Productivity and creativity increase leading to good performance .

               
          The most objectionable thing about Feng Shui experts is that they have spread a misconception about vaastushastra that it only adheres to making or breaking . People got attracted to Feng Shui because it does not have such make brisk techniques . There are many solutions in vastushastra for removal of vaastu defect without any structural demolition . 

              
           Due to the geographical conditions of China , Feng Shui believes that North – east direction is bad and south – west is auspicious . In Indian vastushastra the north – east direction is auspicious all over the world and south – west is inauspicious . 

             
       The following points should be kept in mind for creating a pleasant atmosphere .

·Locating the prayer room ( devghar ) in the northeast ( or east ) should be given first priority .

·                          Festivals should be celebrated according to traditional customs prevalent in the family . The house gets cleaned and there is a new surge of enthusiasm in the house . 

           The most important thing to note is that putting up a picture must lead to a pleasant atmosphere in the house . 

       
            Picture in black color or those showing cruel scenes , storms , ships caught in a storm , starving men and women , etc . which spoil the atmosphere , should not be put up.

            According to the science of Feng Shui the design of the vastu (premises ) is made keeping in mind the Kuon number with regard to date of birth and business of the head of the family . Thus the epicenter of the design of the premises is an individual . So this science is individual oriented . The other members of the family , their progress , prosperity and health are considered secondary . But Indian vaastushastra is mass oriented . It gives equal justice to all members of the family . There is detailed guidance available in vastushastra regarding directions for old and young alike for their prosperity and good health .

       
East to south , including southeast is a place for solar energy and is therefore pure and auspicious . Pictures in red color , flowers and beautiful but chaste women are good .

Pictures of Lord Krishna ( young age ) eating curd or couple photo scenes of Lord and Radha are good subjects .

         The upper floor should be in the southwest part of the house . Next in importance is southeast , and northwest . As far as possible there should not be any construction on northeast .

         
          The head – karta – of the family should have his bedroom in southwest of the upper floor . 
                                  Sleeping Posture

      
          The head should be in the south and the feet toward north . Sometimes for the elderly and children head in the east is permissible .

          
          The basic aim of vastushastra is to bring harmony with nature . And , therefore , every person or things should be in its natural form . Dumb animals should not be treated in a manner harmful to them , and we should not make them unhappy for our benefit or amusement . 

         
          Dogs , cows , cats , horses , rabbits tied in their stalls , or parrots , peacocks , geese , lovebirds , in their cages , is against the laws of nature . Therefore it is against the principles of vastushastra to keep animals in such a state . Animals are unhygienic and can pollute the atmosphere and thus harmful for health .Dog is a loyal guard and therefore considerable . 

      
          Cats must not be kept in the house . 

   
          Horse , cow , buffalo , bull are useful animals and it is necessary to keep them in their natural state . Care should be taken to ensure that there is enough light and fresh air in the place where animals are kept . 

     
          The most preferred direction is Northwest of house .

         The septic tank should be in the west to northwest . The infrared rays in the setting sunrays kill germs and the foul smell is carried away by the westerly breeze . 

         Septic tank in southwest brings ill effects , If in southeast , short circuit , theft , fire etc .can take place . A tank in the northeast increases health problems , leads to financial stagnation and education of children suffers . 

          Vastushastra do not permit a basement . Adequate sunlight and air is absent in a basement and thus the atmosphere there is not conducive to human life . 

           
          A basement in northeast is somewhat permissible .  

              
           If there is basements in the entire vastu , then only the one in northeast should be used . And heavy items should be stored in northwest and southwest . Otherwise remedial measures can make it conducive .    

  
            A house built according to the Kuon number with regard to date of birth and business of the head of the family may not prove to be fruitful the others and after the death of the head of the family .will the design be changed each time or will that be financially possible easily ?  

            Indian vaastushastra pervades the universe.The principles of the vaastushatra are applicable allover the globe .Because Earth – Sky – Water – Fire and – Air these major five elements are the same everywhere,they do not have geographical limitation . The five elements included in Feng Shui are earth , water air , Wood and metal . The sky and fir do not have a place in Feng Shui . According to the Indian vaastushastra  these five elements are self – existent.Nobody can create  them and nor can destroy them . As against this the elements wood and metal originate from our five elements and they merge in them too . They also are perishable like the human being . So they cannot become the one of the main parts of the five elements .

       If sited together the residence should be in southwest and the factory in the rest of the plot . Raw material and finished goods should be stored in northwest . Northeast should be , as far as possible , kept vacant . The manufacturing unit should be placed in SE . The factory and residence should conform to all the rules of vastushastra

       Shrubs , Trees , around the House

       Planting trees is essential to maintain the balance of nature .  

           When a residence and an office are together , it is best to have the master bedroom in southwest and office in south or west . The chair of the chief should be placed in southwest of room , facing northeast . Otherwise depending on the availabity of space irrespective of direction should be used but with remedial measures .

  
           There is no place to the concept of God in the science of Feng Shui . There is no special reference to God or a shrine in many books published before 1998 . In Indian vasstushastra God has been considered to be the Almighty and the creator  of this whole Universe . The direction north – east has been kept especially for this .

       
            There are four schools of thought in Feng Shui . Whereas in Vaastushastra there is only one common thought process for everyone .

         
             If the office is on the ground floor and the residence above , then office should be in the southwest .
